About Us

Beyond the Fight Initiative is a 501(c) 3 nonprofit organization with a mission of rescuing dogs from abuse and neglect, and giving them the care, medical attention, and training needed so that they can be adopted into loving forever homes.

Most of our dogs have come to us when their owners are arrested for alleged abuse, neglect or dog fighting. They were tied up on heavy chains, living outside and exposed to the weather with very little food or water. They had no medical care. Several female dogs were used strictly for breeding and had multiple litters.

When owners are arrested for alleged fighting. abuse or neglect, the dogs are held as "evidence" in state or county-run law enforcement facilities until the case is disposed.  This process can often take a year or more. When the dogs are ready to be released, the holding facilities reach out to rescue organizations to take as many dogs as they can. The dogs that cannot be sent to a rescue or immediately rehomed are put down.

Beyond the Fight Initiative works with local law enforcement, and law enforcement from several other states, as well as a variety of rescues in the South East United States to ensure as many dogs as possible are brought into rescues, foster homes and forever homes.

We are a 100% volunteer organization working solely from donations and sponsorships from compassionate people like you who want to see the end to animal cruelty and abuse and who believe that all dogs deserve loving, caring forever homes.
